Monochromatic

This butterfly card is one I made for the very first order I received. I was given a lot of freedom, and this is one of the things I came up with.

I would like to enter it into Emma's Crafty Challenge, for which the theme this month is monochrome.

Just over a year ago I started making cards by entering a card swap I had seen on facebook. Since then I am hooked.

This is partly because of the joy and relaxation I get from the activity itself, but even more so because of the wonderful world it has entered me into. I have gotten to know so many loving, warmhearted and supportive people, simply by making cards and sharing.

Mostly I craft from bed, sometimes even lying down, because of health issues keeping me bed-bound almost all of the time.

I am fourty-one now, and have an amazingly loving husband who is full of support for my craft, and a six year old boy who eagerly joins me with cutting and sticking at times.

At first I was quite intimidated, as I have dyspraxia which challenges anything practical I wish to do. Gently my confidence and skill are growing. I still see myself as a beginner, with a whole lot to learn. My confidence is slowly growing, is I am very flattered now I am starting to get orders in.
